about

Works from 2006-2008. Performed live at various festivals in Paris, Strasbourg (France); Inari (Finland); Riga (Latvia); Kaunas, Siauliai, Vilnius, Marijampole (Lithuania).
p.s. Perhaps the final album in the old microsound/click&cut phase.

Description of the works(around 2006): To create music I do not used MAX/MSP, nor PD, nor Supercollider software. It is not created with Mac or open source soft. Doesn't it mean something? It seems that in digital world some magical words mean quality in itself. Technology is basic thing nowadays, new tools is very important for us, without it we can't do what we are doing now, without it the era of digital folk music wouldn't seem to come .But doesn't it mean that technology overcomes music? Doesn't it mean that even if we have disengaged ourselves from dependence of notes, we have to become slaves of other music languages, new technological fetishes that are much more complex, but still imprisoning music?
That's the questions that are interesting to me.

I spent 14 years in Academic institutions studying music. Computers rub away most of my experiences of music language. Music is much more complex and much more important thing than any language, than any tools, than any software. Knowledge of things, mentioned above, is very important, but at the end, creativity is fundamental thing.

My works might be described as microsound or noise, but my aim is not to create within these frames. Primary interest is to study the physical effects sound has on human psyche.
In result, I utilize sine waves, digital sounds, expressive synthesized tones, noises and complex rhythmical structures. And then you can hear an eclectic mix of minimal techno, digital sounds,
experiments with frequencies - including pure sine waves and expressive, overladen sound structures - operating on human psycho-acoustic experiences.

To create those tracks I had been using computer turning virtual knobs till I felt it was sounding good for my ears. This method is experimental in some way, but in general it is the journey led by intuition through inner self world which is constantly waiting for adventurers.
